Apa sih Speech Composing itu?

Kita tentu mengenal nama Arya Wiguna, yang tiba-tiba saja namanya meroket gara-gara kasus Eyang Subur. Salah satu aksi Arya Wiguna saat memarahi Eyang Subur cukup menarik perhatian masyarakat terutama setelah videonya diupload ke situs Youtube. Di tangan seorang arranger, kata-kata Arya Wiguna dalam video tadi disulap menjadi lirik lagu, kemudian dibuatkan aransemen musiknya maka jadilah sebuah lagu utuh.

 Pada prinsipnya pembuatan speech composing tidak berbeda dengan proses saat menciptakan dan mengaransemen sebuah lagu baru (composing & arranging), hanya saja untuk speech composing ini kita dituntut untuk mengolah satu file tertentu yang didalamnya terdapat kata-kata yang akan disusun menjadi lirik lagu, biasanya berupa file video yang terlebih dahulu di-convert kedalam format wave (audio).

Bagaimana caranya, berikut ini adalah langkah-langkah pembuatan video speech composing:

-  Tentukan video yang akan kita olah, lalu convert kedalam format MP3 dengan menggunakan software  video converter (mis. Emisoft).

-  Setelah video-nya kita pelajari, tentukan konsep musiknya seperti genre, nada dasar, tempo dan struktur lagunya (intro, verse, chorus, interlude, outro dst.)

-  Buka software digital audio workstation (DAW) yang biasa kamu gunakan (spt. Nuendo, Sonar, Pro Tool dll.), buat new project, import MP3 ke project, kemudian bikin musik dasar untuk guide.

-  Lakukan pengeditan terhadap file MP3 tadi agar benar-benar klop dengan struktur lagu, nada dasar, tempo dan chord progression-nya. Disinilah dibutuhkan kepiawaian seseorang dalam mengolah data wave, yaitu dengan cara cut & paste untuk memotong dan menyambung, atur tempo, naik-turunkan nada (untuk yang satu ini bisa mengguna kan software pitch correction spt.Melodyne, Waves Tune, Auto Tune, dll.).

-  Setelah struktur lagu selesai (hasil audio editing benar-benar sudah klop dengan musik dasarnya), maka saatnya dibuatkan aransemen musiknya, dilanjutkan proses mixing & mastering.

-  Proses terakhir adalah penggabungan audio (lagu) dan video dengan menggunakan video editor (yg paling popular adalah Windows Movie Maker, bisa langsung upload ke situs yang kita tuju).

Nah, begitulah kira-kira proses pembuatan speech composing yang sekarang sedang menjadi trending topic di negri kita, lumayan buat menambah wawasan.

Merekam MIDI Song sampling menjadi MP3

Maksud judul diatas sebenarnya adalah mengganti sound GM (General MIDI) pd sebuah Song dengan sound modul dari sebuah software computer sebagai output-nya, kemudian merekamnya kedalam format MP3, bagaimana caranya?

Pertama pilih lagu, saya ambil contoh lagu Panah Asmara – Afghan, waktu membuat lagu ini saya menggunakan Nuendo (salah satu DAW produk Steinberg) dan memakai 16 channel dengan output-nya sound GM (Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth).

Karena saya akan merekam lagu tersebut kedalam format MP3, maka supaya hasilnya lebih bagus (sound-nya lebih real), sebelumnya saya mengganti output ke-16 channel tersebut dengan sound modul yang saya punya, yaitu Hypersonic 2 (VST Instrument ini juga produk Steinberg).

Setelah semua sound dirubah, kemudian saya mixing ulang dan sedikit edit data bass-nya, maka sampailah pada proses akhir, yaitu merekam kedalam format MP3.

Perekaman ini tidak saya lakukan secara manual, tapi cukup dengan proses yang disebut Audio Mixdown (atau istilah lainnya audio mixing), proses ini sekaligus merubah data midi menjadi wave, dalam hal ini kita memilih format MP3.

Dengan menggunakan song berupa MP3 ini, dikenal juga dengan istilah MP3 Track (bisa dimainkan di keyboard yang ada fasilitas MP3 player-nya, seperti Yamaha PSR S 910, 950, dll.), penampilan kita akan lebih meyakinkan!
